My favorite spot in Miami by a mile. So beautiful – very casual but obviously somebody with an exquisite eye for detail is involved (Roman & Williams it turns out). The garden and the pool area are just perfect to while away an afternoon with friends – or just to hang out solo.

During the week, it is only wine and beer until 6pm, after which this magical bar opens serving great cocktails.  At 7pm, the kitchen opens and i had the BEST ceviche ever – somewhat non-traditional, it tasted as tho it had been marinated in a cilantro, lime, rose mixture (they said no about the rose, but both my friend and I determined there was a floral note present). Soon they will be taking over the building next door which will become their full-on restaurant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. we especially loved Will Thompson – so happy to share information with us about the cocktail program and their new restaurant 27 to open later this year. Also met bartender, Gui Jaroschy, who made a round of fantastic cocktails for us.
Also checked out a few of the rooms – very basic but beautifully restored. if you like The Ace hotels, you would feel right at home here.  They also have an amazing website – check it out!!  Their focus on collaborators and friends of the brand is a terrific addition.
