Campbell Apartment is awesome: stunning space, great cocktails but WAY LOUD

Finally made it to the Campbell Apartment  on Thursday night to celebrate Katharine Linke’s birthday. The space is gorgeous and at 7:30pm, jam packed. Fortunately, Katharine had made a reservation which they are very good at honoring (you can make reservations two weeks in advance).

The good news first: spectacular setting, retro-inspired cocktails, delicious bar food – especially loved the charcuterie and cheese plate (v. generous portions also)! Most importantly, by 9:30pm, Campbell Apartment transitions from happy hour cacophony to super chill with a little Sinatra in the background. A really cool vibe  – you want to stay and hang out forever!

I’m sure you’ve guessed the bad news: it is unbearably loud until those last commuters hit their trains at around 9pm. After that, AMAZING!!
